The SA8000 directive (Social Accountability 8000) is the first international standard one making sure that the company is socially liable and that the company engages itself to respect the rules of the working ethics, refusing the working conditions having to do with inhumanity, with exploitation, with wicked pay and with the unhealthiness of the working place. The SA8000 directive is based on principles suggested from the international references about the human rights and the workers rights referring to the principles of the Universal human rights declaration, of the ILO (International Labour Organization) conventions and of the kids rights charter.
